Remembering VJ Day – 80 years on
On 15th August 2025 at 1.00pm the people of Oswaldtwistle gathered at the War Memorial to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of VJ Day
The service was led by Hilary Austin, Chair of Church and Oswaldtwistle Branch of the Royal British Legion assisted by Reverends Barbara and Paul Hunter from the Parish of Oswaldtwistle.
The Wreath was laid by Mr Dave Allen whose father served in Burma.
